Hello, World!

Marija

I’m Marija Jukneviciute. My philosophy is simple - you are good at things you truly enjoy doing. I love UI/UX, as it perfectly fits my personality. First of all, I find problem-solving and creating something out of nothing exciting. I always loved games - board games, charades, strategic games, drawing games, puzzles - you name it. I also love art in any form and creating aesthetically appealing designs makes me truly happy.
I’m originally from Vilnius, Lithuania, living in Berlin for the past 6 years. My favorite pastime (usually while making beautiful designs of course) is listening to music. My “Spotify Wrapped” revealed that in the year 2022, I spent more time listening to music than 97% of other listeners in Lithuania! I love the bands from the 60’s Boston Sound, new wave, classic rock, electronica, British Invasion..and so many more. I also love running while listening to interesting podcasts as well as reading books. Currently, I'm training for the Berlin Half Marathon in April. Before the Corona cloud covered the Planet Earth, I also traveled quite a lot.
I was studying Graphic Design at Vilnius College of Technologies and Design when I was invited to work as a website administrator in a start-up company. For the past 10 years, I’ve been a part of a team, which developed several successful leisure-related websites and apps. In my role, I helped to resolve usability issues, moderated user-generated content, and helped to improve internal administration systems. Additionally, I provided customer support to users and processed emails and complaints. The desire to create user-oriented products led me to the field of UI/ UX design. I’m a very curious person, who can’t stand being in a comfort zone. I love to be a part of professionals, who turn an idea into a product, that benefits the society. If I believe in a product, I will give all my energy towards making it as perfect as possible.
